So I've been off the diet/training bandwagon for awhile and I need get back on it ASAP. Starting tomorrow I'm lining my diet back out and hopefully I'll get into the gym a couple times this week too. The last couple times I've been in the gym haven't been to bad but the intensity was definitely lacking to say the least.
Diet:
I'm using Berardi's 7 habits as guidelines. For those that aren't familiar with them here they are:
1. Eat ever 2-3 hours
2. Eat complete protein each meal
3. Limit carbs to postworkout or breakfast
4. Eat healthy fats in most meals
5. Eat vegetables in most/all meals
6. Leave out calorie containing drinks (soda, sports drinks, etc.)
7. Focus on whole foods (keep shakes to a minimum)
Training:
For right now it's going to be a simple 3 or 4 day split. I don't have anything specific set so I'll just be making them up as I go. Intensity and volume will be determined by how I'm feeling that particular day. I'll get some AM cardio in when I can. For the next two weeks I'm working 5 days per week (construction) so my day is a workout in itself. Once I start back w/ school I'll get more of a set training/cardio schedule.

Merry Christmas
Well we made it through Christmas, kinda lol. I have Christmas with my grandparents tomorrow and then I'll be done for this year. I gotta get back into a real gym this next month or so. I was watching replay's of the 2008 Worlds Strongest Man and I could barely set still after it was over.

Finals week suuuucks lol
Well this week is finals week at FHSU. My finals aren't hard, just time consuming. I have one project to finish up and one more final to take in class. After that the semesters done and I can make a little $$$ over the next couple weeks.
I'm going to hit up the gym today for some legs to try out my new APT knee wraps so I'm excited about that.
I also interviewed for a job at the hospital which will have benefits and guaranteed hours unlike the construction job I have now where it is almost completely controlled by the weather. My current job also has 0 benefits either.

Well since it's my blog I better throw some info about myself in here lol.
My names Trey, I'm 23, and I'm about to finish school at Fort Hays State University with a degree in Exercise Science. I've been training for about 3-3.5 years consistently. This next year I want to get into a bodybuilding competition. I also want to try my hand at powerlifting and strongman training as well. This next fall I also want to get my CSCS (certified strength and conditioning specialist certification) and begin my own personal training/nutrition business.
I work construction to make ends meet right now. It's not my dream job but it pays the bills and I like it at least for now. My beautiful girlfriend KC is an X-ray tech at the local hospital and is also certified in mammography with a certification in computed tomography waiting when she gets around to taking her boards.
