Diet: Medium
Training: Lower
Cardio: None

I worked the graveyard last night so I got home at about 7:15 this morning and slept from 7:30 to about 1. Hit the gym and rocked it out. I have videos if I ever get the damn computer to recognize the disk. I killed my GHR's (BW x 12, x 6) and my squats too.

Product Update

The chocamine was great the other night when I tried it. I mixed 1g in water and just took it like a shot. About 15 minutes later I felt more awake (but not overstimulated) and was able to really focus on my homework and job at the same time. Plus that morning when I got home I slept like a baby.

ON's NitroCore 24 (caramel toffee fudge) is amazing. I could drink that stuff all day. Mixes well and actually has a good after taste.

New Goodies

I got my chocamine and Nitro Core 24 in today and seeing how I've been up since 6:30 AM, it's currently almost 3 AM, and I don't get off work till 7 AM and need to study, I'm trying my chocamine.

I just took 1g in water about 5 minutes ago. I'll get more updates as the morning goes along.

Completely off day

I took the entire day off. I came home from work at about 7:30 and slept until about 2. From there I just did some stuff around the house took it easy. I'll lift tomorrow morning, cardio Wednesday morning, lift Thursday morning, cardio Friday morning, and then lift on Sunday evening before I head into work.

I've also set up some rotator cuff work and specific ab work to do on at least 2 of my off days each week plus a lot of stretching to go along with it. My abdominal strength and hip/leg flexibility are really screwing up my leg workouts (especiall front squats) and my rotator cuffs aren't necessarily holding back my pressing movements, but towards the end of my sets where I'm really grinding out reps I can feel the joint giving out before the muscle and most of that is just instability due to fatigue.

Holy crap...

I'm so tired right now. I'm pretty sure I'm going to be doing a lot of night shifts at work and that is going to be a bit of a problem mainly because I have class pretty much all day 2 days per week. This limits the time I get to sleep and could cause some problems both in training and in school so I'm going to give chocamine a try. It's a derivative of the cocoa plant that is supposed to be good for energy, fat loss and mental focus so I'm excited to try it.

I'm ordering it tomorrow so it will be awhile before I can give any feedback but there will be feedback none the less.

2/15/09

My second upper day went great yesterday morning. My back is kinda messed up today though so I'll be heading to the chiropractor tomorrow morning and then to the gym tomorrow afternoon.

Some HUGE new from yesterday though. I proposed to my girlfriend of just over 3 years and she said yes. I'm extremely happy right now. Life couldn't be any better and I'm ready to rock.

Diet: Low
Cardio: None
Training: None

Diet was 100% today. I'm gonna rock out another low day tomorrow (leg day), and Friday. Saturday will be medium and back to low on Sunday.

First round of DC with the new blast was yesterday. Really happy w/ my exercise selection for that day even though I overestimated my strength on an exercise or two lol. I have a new bicep exercise tomorrow that I'm looking forward to as well.

I think I might have found the contest I'm going to enter this next fall, there's just a few more things I need to get ironed out. Due to lack of $$$ though I'll have to do most of my prep on my own.

Off days and back to work

The 2 days off w/ my gf went great. My diet wasn't but we had fun. Got back home yesterday afternoon and I am back on my diet again. I'm running a gauntlet here of 4 low carb days in a row. I did cardio this morning and I'll do some on Monday too. Tomorrow and Sunday the gym isn't open before or after I got work so I'm screwed there.

I have my new blast set up too and I'm ready to rock. I'll start back Tuesday w/ new baselines and a high carb day :D.

C/S/T/Back

Tried some new exercises at the gym. Most of them weren't really new per say, but I hadn't done them in a long time so it was like they were new. I'm very happy w/ pretty much everything I tried today. This new blast is going to look really different from anything else I've set up before.

Work in progress..

A big reason that I've stepped back from DC for a minute to reevaluate is that I've gone back and reread a bunch of DC's posts about exercise selection and I decided I was to hasty to get back at it.

Part of my problem has been that I've lost my groove with some exercises that used to be really effective for me because I sacrificed ROM for more weight. This is mainly on my chest exercises and my back width exercises. Another reason is that I've been using many of the same exercises every blast and I'm hitting walls on a bunch of them all at once. Dips, incline smith, incline db press, cg bench, and barbell rows are what come to mind right off the bat. And, judging by my current numbers all of those are currently making very damn little progress.

On legs the machine lifts I'm getting stronger at but stuff like squats and front squats kill me because of bad form. I have to get that down w/ lighter weight before I start trying to rep out weights that are near my max.

I'm going to reevaluate my form and each and every exercise before I start back w/ my new blast. I'm not wasting time doing exercises in an uneffective manner anymore.

Food Review: Pizza Hut "Natural Pepperoni"

This is probably my new favorite pizza. It has a decent macro ratio (25g C/10g P/ 9g F) which can be made even better by selecting leaner meat as a topping and dropping the amount of cheese that's on it down.

The pizza isn't greasy in any way shape or form and the sauce that they used for it is 10x better than their normal sauce.

2/2/09

Diet: Low
Cardio/Training: Messed around and did about 10 minutes of cardio, some abs and tried 2 new exercises and 1 forearm exercise. All of them were keepers in my book. Also I messed around with a new back thickness exercise and I think it might be a keeper as well.

Below are the exercises I'm thinking about replacing:

Incline DB Curls
BTB Cable Curls
Incline Smith
CG Bench
Rev Machine Shoulder Press
Standing Military

I'll know by the end of the week what I wanna do. I'll probably pick back up w/ a DC, just a different exercise selection and set new baselines.
